The whole class shimmies! Wee hoo!
When everybody's movin' around and around and around and around.
Everybody's movin', everybody's groovin' baby.
Folks linin' up outside just to get down.
Funky little rats.
Funky little rats!
(You should see how adults react when we bury Love Rats under sensory table rice, leaving only the long, pink, life-like tail sticking out!)

ReplyDeleteHahahaha - That has to be a guy teacher spin on valentines day!
ReplyDeleteWhat is that stuff the rats are playing in? must have!!!

@Plants seeds . . . and others who want to know where to get your own Love Rats. I've updated the post with a link to Archie McPhee in the first line, which is where all things Love Rat can be found.

ReplyDeleteAt first I thought that was Floam, but you seem to be describing it as something else. Plant seeds? Just by themselves? They seem to have some stickiness to them. How'd you make that? And if you don't know Floam, you should!
I too am interested in what the children and rats are playing in....looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the rats!
@Kristi, Anonymous and others wanting to know about the "stuff" the rats are playing in . . . Indeed, it is Discount School Supply's version of "floam" that they call IncredibleFoam Dough. Here's the link:

The kids look like they are having fun, however, I think I'll just have to love them from afar! (I do love the song tie-in!) :)
ReplyDeleteTry adding little grains of rice coloured black with a permanent marker pen near the snack area and a long tail hanging out somewhere. From a distance they do look like droppings. The "rat in my kitchen" scenario is definitely cranked up by doing this.
