And I miss...I haven't hugged anyone in a while. And I miss it. For a while, a long while, I stopped hugging. I felt too fat to hug. And I felt like since I was so fat, I shouldn't be hugging people and letting them feel my fatness. So I quit. And even today, when I hug someone other than my family, I feel like they are assessing my fat. And it makes me feel bad. Very, very bad. I wish I could get over it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07874897254332872367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-41373835181509906592009-12-17T21:33:26.471-08:002009-12-17T21:33:26.471-08:00How did I live this long without knowing about Amm...How did I live this long without knowing about Amma? When he hugs, he hugs so tight that it takes your breath away.

To meet my 25 year old nephew, you would not view him as a one that even likes hugs. He is quiet, kind of a loner, and extremely intelligent. But when he hugs, he hugs like he means it!

One day my husband took him to the airport and just as he dropped him off, my nephew gave him a hug. My husband said that he was so caught off guard that it nearly brought tears to his eyes.Deborah Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04992053244004086395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-10285549914025581642009-12-17T20:48:00.067-08:002009-12-17T20:48:00.067-08:00Have you ever read Tess Gallagher's poem "...Have you ever read Tess Gallagher's poem "The Hug"? I think you would enjoy it. The lover she mentions in it is writer Raymond Carver, who wrote a story about the same incident, though I'm not sure what it's called.Jen Widrighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13174396169624795499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-87913285471020970502009-12-17T19:26:03.271-08:002009-12-17T19:26:03.271-08:00Interesting.
