My Year 13 Calculus class LOVE their maths - it is weird and odd and probably of no practical value to them in their careers at all but they are enjoying the sheer weirdness of it. Same as my 3 year old loves his mud for the sheer joy and fun.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-56544762749147562442010-12-23T23:15:18.159-08:002010-12-23T23:15:18.159-08:00You are right! Yesterday, I was having same funny EFL lessons with 3 years old kids with a bucket full of snow, I was actually laughing my heart out secretly cos I enjoyed it and they were really serious doing their thing and responding to me positively. I just felt great and I appreciated them so much. This teaching can just be done with love and fun and both parties would feel fulfilled.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16245616003527148228noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-69345175159836560622010-12-23T22:16:02.208-08:002010-12-23T22:16:02.208-08:00Great that you are putting early childhood learnin...Great that you are putting early childhood learning into the "right" context." For some of those "scientific reasons" play is so important to children (besides the having fun part!) visit www.TheMotorStory.com and learn how important sensory motor play is for later learning and neurological development.TheMotorStory.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-59296624353662454192010-12-23T16:22:38.660-08:002010-12-23T16:22:38.660-08:00I, on the other hand, talk about fun ALL THE TIME....I, on the other hand, talk about fun ALL THE TIME. Fun for the kids, of course, but especially fun for me. I just turned 64; my husband's been retired for about four years. People are always asking me if I'm still teaching. My answer is "I'll be teaching until it's not fun anymore...or until my body gives out, whichever happens first."Barbara Zaborowskinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-8084048173909282642010-12-23T12:51:46.296-08:002010-12-23T12:51:46.296-08:00I love this!
