I just twist it into the current subject. Some times it sit and sometimes it eat (ever try to eat a thorny rose?). We created three responses: Ow!, Ew! and Yum! George and Vivian even join in.

Thanks Tom, for the inspiration!

TerryAlt-Tabhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05187539550321263897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-73119364453825690412009-08-20T23:33:13.101-07:002009-08-20T23:33:13.101-07:00rusty nail?! broken glass?! IN THE CAMPFIRE?! That...rusty nail?! broken glass?! IN THE CAMPFIRE?! That is sick, sick, sick. And just what captivates my 3.5 year old right now. I'm amazed at how he dances between butterflies and rainbows and creepy crawly creatures, monsters, dragons, things that bite or hurt. Now I know, he's not disturbed. He's just 3. And I can have some fun with it.

Btw, we used to do this lovely warm-up song in my choir class that might come in handy for you one day. It goes like this:

"Great green globs of greasy, grimy gopher guts, mutilated monkey meat, little dirty birdy feet. Great green globs of greasy grimy gopher guts and ME without a spoon!"

All together now!!dv.x.3https://www.blogger.com/profile/17097937663389205624noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-54359389992144662792009-08-19T00:08:58.568-07:002009-08-19T00:08:58.568-07:00Hee, hee - you are such a fun teacher.
