The produce at most grocery stores is horrible in quality and it is nice to get something straight from the source. I'm planning a 'fall flavors' series of kitchen posts and I just picked up some really nice butternut squash from my local farm stand. Looking forward to making a bunch of stuff with my bounty.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-47350207141811753112009-10-16T19:09:22.162-07:002009-10-16T19:09:22.162-07:00SO nice...46 here and have yet to visit one...than...SO nice...46 here and have yet to visit one...thanks for the vicarious moments ;-)BellaDaddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12469029319230742802noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-80961413577697242672009-10-16T17:59:10.729-07:002009-10-16T17:59:10.729-07:00Our pumpkin patch field trip got cancelled this we...Our pumpkin patch field trip got cancelled this week due to weather. :( But today was "dress like a farmer day" at school and I was quite proud of Teagan's creativity in choosing to dress like a farm girl instead of a farmer. We have no overalls or plaid shirts and our only boots are rain/snow boots. We do have a straw hat. So she picked out a denim dress and tights, asked me to give her pigtail braids, and decided she was the farmer's wife... or daughter.

We have family in TN that turned part of their farm into a school field trip pumpkin patch, animal experience, and corn maze. While not anything near an urban area, that small town area had nothing of the sort around. They've been wildly successful!Eternal Lizdomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12436844959718198383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15932919.post-91203528563453259302009-10-16T14:36:05.441-07:002009-10-16T14:36:05.441-07:00I hadn't noticed, Maya!
